He has fond memories and a true appreciation of the simple life he's lived there. Soft drinks were five cents. Families were close. Homework was done at night by kerosene light. There was no electricity in the house. While travelling and photographing nature, he also came to have a true appreciation for the beauty in Amish people, their communities, and the friendships he has built with them.

Favorite photography topics include the Amish lifestyle, Kentucky's Cumberland Falls, Nature, Landscapes, National Parks (especially Smoky Mountains NP), waterfalls, mountains, scenic California (Sierra Nevadas, the White Mountains, Lake Tahoe), and last but not least, wildflowers.
